Policies and Procedures

Hours of Operation
The Club is open for lunch Monday through Friday, and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. The card room and health facilities are open seven days a week.

Dress Code
Members and their guests are required to observe the dress code whenever they are in the Club. Business casual attire is acceptable throughout the Club during the week (collared shirts, dress slacks, non-athletic shoes). Jackets are required on Friday nights, ties optional. For special events, the dress code will be announced. For private functions, it is at the discretion of the host. Athletic clothing is restricted to the Heath and Fitness Centre.

Smoking
The Montefiore Club is pleased to offer a non-smoking environment except on the card room floor and in private rooms at the discretion of the host.

Parking
Montefiore members benefit from a preferred rate at the Bar-B Barn Restaurant parking lot located behind the Club as well as two other convenient locations near by: The Maritime Hotel, and the Days Inn Hotel on Guy Street. Valet parking is offered on Friday nights, and for select special events. Valet parking can also be arranged for members holding private functions. Meter parking is also available on Guy Street and on René Lévesque.

Billing
Each member receives a Club house account and is required to sign chits for all meals and services. Signing privileges are extended to spouses. After the last day of each month, statements are mailed to each member showing charges owed to the Club. The amount is payable upon receipt and no later than the end of the month that the bill is received.

Cell Phone Usage
When visiting the Club, cell phones may be used in the lobby or foyer of each floor as well as in the phone booths on the main floor. When in the dining room, cell phones should be set on silent out of respect for other guests.

Papers
A discreet display of business papers is permitted in the main dining room. Private rooms are available for business meetings.

Children
Children are welcome at the Club. Highchairs and booster seats are available upon request.

Holidays
The Club is open every day; however, on statutory holidays, only limited services are available. The card room and health unit remain open.

Front desk
A receptionist is present at all times during regular Club operation hours.

Program reservations
Members can reserve for programs/events by email directly to Jacques Hannaux, General Manager at jhannaux@montefioreclub.com. As well, members can call the Club at (514) 934-0776. The Club has a 24-hour reservations line.

Guests
Guests are always welcome at the Montefiore Club! Members are encouraged to use their memberships to entertain family, friends and associates. All guests must be accompanied by a member.
